Joana Colomar is a filmmaker based in Barcelona and Madrid. Colomar graduated in Audiovisual Communication from Universidad Politècnica de Valencia, and also studied in Lisbonne and Barcelona. She has worked as advertising director for production companies such as Mamma Team or Canada, and her clients include international companies such as Decathlon, Bitter Kas, Fisher Price, or Volkswagen, among others. Her videos have been featured in the platform Nowness in several occasions.
Her work has been awarded internationally, including an UKMVA 2012 nomination to best international pop music video for her first work, Maia Vidal’s Follow me (competing with artists such as Mia, Lana del Rey or Justice), or the 2012 Young Directors Award in Cannes. Since 2016, Colomar teaches at a graduate level at Vic University and other film schools. Joana is represented by Picnic (Barcelona), Bravo Tango Zulu (Madrid), and Krypton (Lisbonne).
